Through this partnership model, we stock and manage a dedicated inventory of orthopedic and “bent metal” durable medical equipment directly within your facility. This may include items such as braces, walkers, crutches, canes, and other commonly prescribed discharge equipment. By placing inventory on consignment, hospitals can offload upfront purchasing costs and eliminate the administrative burden of managing this equipment internally.
Instead of the hospital absorbing the expense, DME Living Well bills the patient’s insurance directly for covered items provided at discharge. This structure helps reduce facility supply costs while maintaining compliance and ensuring patients receive medically necessary equipment without delay.
